Hey everyone! My goodness I can hardly type because of how excited I am! If you look up Zelda news regularly like me, you most likely stumbled across a load full of Zelda videos! The first one already takes a piece of heart as it shows you an all new Skyward Sword trailer! And boy is it a good one!
Yes, I know you're grinning and staring in awe. You probably replayed it a few times too! Don't worry, it's normal for a Zelda fan! Now, this trailer shows quite a lot! It shows a new region, more Fi (I'm guessing they re-spelled her name) and noticeably, harp playing! Now, I don' know about you but that harp scene was probably my favorite part of the trailer (And Link's smile before that). I still wonder how it'll work though. We'll just hafta wait and find out. I also found out a few info about Link's tunic. Supposedly, like in Spirit Tracks, it's, as you may have guessed, a knights uniform. This uniform changes color (it doesn't really change, they just make a new one a different color) every year and this year happened to be green. Thought you'd like to know. The pack of video's also shows a romance montage between Link and Zelda.
Finally, after all the games, Link and Zelda are finally in love noticeably. I say noticeably because in some games, it MAY seem like it, but you can't really tell. Even so, this game seems to show it quite a lot as you can see in 1:06. A little too close there Zelda give him some space. Also, a very important thing you should notice is that Link is FINALLY taller than Zelda! As far as I know, it has always been the other way around (WW,TP, and not sure about OoT or the NES games...). Maybe because she doesn't have her heels yet. One last video just shows a simple sword tutorial.
Not much news from that video, but nice to watch. One thing I do wanna say is that from what IGN says, they say unlike TP, the beginning of the story follows the story and gives you tutorials at the same time. In other words, like say, if you do a tutorial for sword training, it has a reason. Link supposedly trains with the sword in order to rescue his bird from a cave. Now, TP did have some of this, but it wasn't SUPER relevant in the story. IGN says quote:
"Zelda games are known for following some very basic principles, even though each entry finds its own way of innovating for the franchise. Skyward Sword is similar, but it does things differently enough to keep this entry from feeling like it’s wasting your time. The game wants Link to be on his grand adventure as much as you do."
That makes me pretty happy to hear considering there will be more story and less lolly gagging. No more goat herding! Well, that's basically all the news for Skyward Sword today, All I can say is that I am super excited for this game. So far, Skyward Sword looks like a game that has all my adventurous dreams mashed up into one game disc. A dream come true. Peace everyone!
